Araghchi adamant 'no change' in Iran's position, says conditions 'completely fair and reasonable' Iranian foreign minister Abbas Araghchi said that Tehran's conditions to the US are "completely fair and reasonable", adding that there has been no change in the country's position.  "There have been claims made for several hours now, and I can state with certainty that there has been no change in Iran's position," Araghchi told Iranian media.  He said that Tehran's conditions for the deal are "clear", including it stance on the opening of the Strait of Hormuz. "Right now, it's just the issue of the Strait of Hormuz. The opening of the Strait of Hormuz is also subject to the fulfillment of the conditions that we announced to the other side," Araghchi said. "There are conditions from the Supreme Leader, and these conditions must be implemented in order for the Strait of Hormuz to open, and our mission was to convey these conditions to both the American side and all other countries and the international community, so that they are aware that Iran has a plan in this regard. "Iran's conditions are completely fair and reasonable, and if the Americans claim that they are seeking an agreement or a peaceful solution, we should introduce this solution."

Araghchi tells UN's Guterres that Iran will 'never stop demanding justice' Iran's foreign minister told UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres that Tehran will "never stop demanding justice" against orchestrators of "war crimes", making reference to US  and Israel.  Abbas Araghchi stressed to Guterres that Iran will  continue to defend its national sovereignty and territorial integrity, adding that "the Iranian nation will never stop demanding justice and holding accountable and punishing the perpetrators and perpetrators of the US and Zionist war crimes". "Iran has always been steadfast in using diplomatic tools to protect its national interests and ensure peace in the region, but the United States has repeatedly betrayed diplomacy over the past decade and, by breaking its promise, has caused insecurity in the region," he said.  The Iranian foreign minister also highlighted what he described as Israel's "genocide and war-mongering" in Palestine, Lebanon, Syria and other countries. Araghchi pointed to these violations as a reminder to the UN and the Security Council of the "responsibility to end Israel's impunity and stop the crimes committed in Gaza and the West Bank".

Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Tehran expects Washington to respond to its proposal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday. RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s imports of services rose 8.4 percent in the second quarter of 2026 to SR120.8 billion ($32.16 billion), driven by higher spending on transport, travel and business services, official data showed. Services imports increased from SR111.4 billion in the first quarter, according to the General Authority for Statistics.
